Numerous organisations with the aim of supporting sustainable agriculture on an eco-logical and social basis have initiated labels and certificates during the last 15 years. Meanwhile many producers fulfil the specified requirements for receiving these la-bels. All the well-known initiatives have integrated specific requirements for pesticides in their criteria and all of them prohibit the use of paraquat.
