Acute poisonings with paraquat during agricultural work
Occupational exposure to paraquat has caused numerous cases of non-fatal poisoning (acute poisoning or cases with localised effects on skin and eyes) and recurrent deaths. Reported poisonings in the literature could not be reviewed comprehensively. Many cases of paraquat poisoning are not recorded, therefore the following studies can serve only as an indication of risk.
